It covers an area of 3.36 acres with 5 blocks and accommodates Principal's room - administrative office - Computer Centre - Psychology laboratory - games room - Staff room - Physical science - Biology laboratory cum class room - Library - Educational Technology Laboratory - Language Laboratory - Seminar Halls I and II - Prayer room - T.N.O.U room - Recreation room - Auditorium - Class rooms for Optional II - Hostel Blocks I & II and the dinning Hall.




Campus Facilities and Student Amenities


Library

A spacious library with the area of 1203 sq. feet and 7362 books are available three hours per week is allotted within the timetable for regular work. The books are lent to the students for a week. Book bank also serves as a good resource for learning.

Laboratories

  • Psychology Laboratory

    • The psychology laboratory with the area of 237 sq. ft. is equipped with necessary questionnaires and tools. Three hours per week is allotted within the time table to carry out psychological testing. The students conduct at least 5 experiments each and maintain a record.


  • Bio-Science Laboratory

    • A biology laboratory cum class room has 900 sq. ft. Demonstrations are conducted in the Bio-Science laboratory. The Bio-Science students conduct 10 experiments in groups and maintain a record.


  • Physical Science Laboratory

    • The physical science laboratory cum class room has 1203 sq. ft. Demonstrations are conducted in the Physical Science laboratory. The Physical Science students conduct 10 experiments in groups and maintain a record.


  • Educational Technology Laboratory

    • A well equipped educational technology laboratory with the sq. ft. of 1313 is utilized for at least three hours per week within the time table. Viewing of television, C.D. ROMs and micro teaching demonstration as well as practice by the students and recording of radio lessons and lectures, shooting of micro teaching practices and usage of audio, video cassettes and CAI packages are the activities carried on in the Educational Technology Laboratory. A separate record is also maintained.


  • Language Laboratory

    • A language laboratory with 237 sq. ft. with necessary equipments is made available for the students. Three hours per week is allotted within the time table.

Justo Computer Centre

The Computer centre (557 Sq. feet) with Eleven computers is used for conducting need based certificate courses for the students. It also helps the staff & students to prepare & use learning packages. The Internet facility is used for reference work and communicative purposes.

Hostel

Hostel facilities are provided to all students right from the college reception. A paucca building was constructed in the year 1984. In 1987 a specially designed kitchen and a deep well were the added facilities. The Second floor of the hostel was built in the year of 2000. The existing toilets and bathrooms were renovated at an expense of Rs. 7 lacks in the year of 2004.

St. Paul's Hostel has two main blocks. The first block is a single-storey building with the total area of 2944.55 sq. Feet. The Second Block is a two-storey building with the area of 5,037 sq. feet. Since our college is a residential college boarding and lodging facilities are made available for all the hundred students.

Placement Cell

It functions actively with a committee of three teachers and one non-teaching staff. Students are encouraged to enroll in the cell. The cell contacts various schools in and around Madurai. The school conducts interviews in our campus during the month of February & March.

Alumni Association

The Justin's College Alumni Association was inaugurated on 19.01.04 and the first alumni meeting was held on the same day. St. Justin's College Alumni Association actively functions with nearly 350 alumnae enrolled as members, out of these 4 alumnae are the teachers of our college at present. The expertise of the alumnae is utilized for giving demonstration classes.
